I've searched and searched for quite a while
To find that missing link
I thought some answers could be found in man
Or so I wanted to think

But reality it has hit me hard
There leaves no room for doubt
No one else can take your place

Lord only you can assure me
That everything will be alright
Lord only you can dry my tears
And take them out of sight

But Father I really, I sure don't mind
What ever I must endure
