Moments Poems

I was inspired to write this poem from a message I heard referring to how the disciples responded in the storm when they found out that Jesus was asleep on the boat. This poem is to show you what to do when the storms of life are raging.

Wake Up Jesus

Sometimes the storm appears so bad
And you don't know what to do
The lightening flashes, the thunder rolls
The rain obstructs your view

ONLY God can deliver you
And help you see your way
To give you strength to carry on
And make it through the day

What do you do, whom do you call
When the way seems dark as night
When the walls close in
And the bottom drops out
And there is no glimpse of light

Just call my Jesus, that's what you do
He's near, not very far
He's the Lilly of the Valley
The Bright and Morning Star

Though you may not see Him
And it seems my Lord is sleep
Just remember what He told you
Your mind, He'd surely keep

Say WAKE UP My Sweet Jesus
Say WAKE UP My Sweet Lord
Don't you know I need you
My heart to you I've poured

Say WAKE UP My Sweet Jesus
Please calm this raging sea
Speak PEACE to my situation
And set your daughter FREE

Wake Up Jesus . . . . Wake Up My Lord
