This poem is about a homosexual man.  Because I have a burden for homosexuals to be set free, I was inspired to write this.  It is to arouse the compassionate side of the believer to reach these men, with the LOVE of God, not condemnation.

WHERE IS THE COMPASSION?

We see them everywhere we go
Up and down the street
Some we know . . . Some we don't
Some we're bound to meet

Always HAPPY . . . Always GAY
That is what you see
But that is not the case at all
They're
SAD as they can be

They long to be loved for who they are
They want you to understand
They really don't like the way they are
They want to be
A MAN

Somewhere in their deep dark past
They were a victim of abuse
Someone hurt them and inflicted pain
They desire to be loose

So many look and walk away
Say I'm not touching that
Something must be wrong with them
Just look at how they act

How they act is all they know
They're bound by an unseen force
We may not cure them then and there
But we can take them to the source

The very one who created them
Knows all about their pain
Through His blood and cleansing power
Can take away the stain

The stain of GUILT . . . The stain of SHAME
That's embedded deep inside
The stain of
REJECTION
The stain of PAIN
Those things they want to hide

They can't trust you . . . They can't trust me
They've tried that route before
What we do is let them down
And open up the sore

The sore that they just wish would heal
To go on with their life
But we keep touching it with our lips
It's like stabbing them with a knife

They want REAL LOVE from those of us
Who claim that's what we have
Their heart cries out for much compassion
Someone to apply the salve

We push them aside . . . Turn up our nose
Like there's no sin in us
Don't you dare forget your past
Getting high . . . And oh yes the lust

Even NOW . . . Long as you've been saved
Continue to stumble and fall
If it wasn't for the grace of God
You wouldn't be standing tall

How dare you condemn these men of God
Whose hearts
CRY OUT for LOVE
Where is the COMPASSION Christ gave to you
His examples you
MUST do

Jesus Christ rejects no one
He died to save the lost
Administer His love to them
No matter what the cost

Show to them COMPASSION
Remove your stony heart
Administer
DELIVERANCE
Can't you do your part

Don't walk away and try to act
Like you don't know what to do
Fall on your face and seek the Father
I promise . . . He will direct you

If all you see is fault IN THEM
And don't want to get involved
There's something wrong inside of
YOU
And IT NEEDS TO BE RESOLVED
